Vinnie was really excited to do the first Ingredient Challenge and when he pulled bourbon, ginger, and apple, he was even more excited. So excited, he created three recipes instead of just one.
While he was preparing the other meals for the Ingredient Challenge he made this drink for us to sip on throughout the day, and I’m pretty sure we were all glad he did.
Some might say this is a fall drink but I am not going to be shy about sitting pool side with this cocktail in my hand.
1 oz Bourbon Fill a rocks glass with crushed ice. Place 1 teaspoon of apple butter on top of ice. Next, grate fresh ginger into your glass. Squeeze fresh lime over the ice so the lime juice will get all throughout the drink. Pour 2 ounces of ginger beer into your glass. Using a jigger, measure your bourbon and pour into your glass. Float the remaining ginger beer over the cocktail. Use a spoon and give a little stir. Add extra lime if you desire. Finally, sip your cocktail. Cheers!Apple Butter Bourbon Fizz
